In a personal statement to “Tunisie Numérique”, Munji Salim president of the Red Crescent Regional Committee of Medenine asserted that 50 Asylum seekers, many of whom are from Sudan protested in Djerba. The refugees demanded the UNHCR to accelerate their resettlement procedures in Europe.
Having been stopped by security forces, the protestors intended to protest in front of the governate headquarters.
