Accumulated tourism receipts decreased by 60.7% to reach a value of 1,647 million dinars, as of September 20, 2020, compared to the same period in 2019, according to the daily monetary and financial indicators of the Central Bank of Tunisia.
As a reminder, the Minister of Tourism, Habib Ammar, affirmed on Saturday, September 26, 2020, that during the first nine months of the year 2020, tourism receipts registered a contraction of 60%, and this percentage could reach 70%. by the end of 2020.
The number of overnight stays, from January 1 to September 20, 2020, did not exceed 4.62 million overnight stays, a decrease of 79.5%.
