The mayor of Kairouan Radhouane Bouden addressed the epidemiological situation in the region. Confronted with the rise in the number of deaths in Kairouan, the official mentioned the cost of a funeral grant in the governorate.
“A tomb costs 1000 DT in Kairouan, although the municipality was able to change the price. Indeed, the current cost is estimated at 550 DT only ”he told a private radio.
According to him, the high cost of this procedure is due to the specific characteristics of the burial in Kairouan. He added, in the same context, that those responsible for the burial are not municipal officials.
