The Presidency of the Government declared that prime minister Hichem Mechichi chaired a small ministerial council, in the presence of the Governor of Gabes.
In a press release, it said that the meeting is part of a set of ministerial councils devoted to regional development according to the methodology of the government, which will involve all governorates.
During the session, the PM adopted a number of decisions correlating to the promotion of employment in the public and private sectors in the region as well as in various fields such as development, social economy, health, environment, industry, energy, transport, agriculture and tourism.
He further decided to task an administration team to travel to the region in order to speed up the implementation of these resolutions.
