34 Abdelaati Bey was elected as mayor of Tozeur consequently succeeding Ali Hafsi who resigned from the official position.
Bey, who is a politically independent nominee, was selected with 12 votes against Ennahdha candidate who earned 11 votes.Bey stated strengthening hygiene facilities and developing municipal sources are amongst his top priorities.
