Defence Minister and former presidential nominee Abdelkrim Zbidi promptly took on his facebook account to properly extend his sincere gratitude to all those who mobilised and supported him during his presidential campaign.
He further called on Prime Minister Youssef Chahed to formally resign, saying, “The one who is at the root of the worsening economic situation and the deterioration of citizens’ living conditions, the destruction of political and partisan life, is part of the problem and cannot be part of the solution and that the principles of democracy require it to acknowledge its failure and responsibility and resign from its duties”
Moreover, he prominently displayed his official recognition for ballot results. Zbidi additionally asked for the liberation of Nabil Karoui “to guarantee equitable opportunities for candidates,” reported the TAP Agency.
