Mekki recognised that with the reopening of the borders and the abolition of the compulsory quarantine procedure, the situation would be delicate, but emphasised if this strategy succeeds a new victory will be assured.
This victory, he explains, is based on various measures to be adopted:
- The Gradually opening of borders and classify risks
- Establish health protocols for the return of Tunisians and tourists according to the same scientific principles
- Share the burden of these physical and / or organizational protocols between the State and returning citizens
- Respect the prevention procedures by the citizens and take the precautions with the greatest seriousness, thus reducing the maximum risks
- Be calm, don’t be alarmed and cooperate.
He stressed in a post published on Thursday, June 18, 2020, that if the commitment is really adopted, “we will succeed in restoring our lives while considerably reducing the risk of contamination.”
“Even if cases appear here and there, which will probably be due to overshoot or negligence, the risk will remain under control and we are able to contain it,” we read.
