President of the free destourien party Abir Moussi expressed in a video posted to her official page on September 30, 2020 that Rahma’s murder was used for political ends.
The MP explained that the debate which should take place following such tragedies was the one on the strategy adopted by the State to fight against crime and not the one around the death penalty.
She also pointed out that this debate was premature since the justice system has not even ruled on this case yet.
