Free Destourian Party leader Abir Moussi announced on Sunday, July 26, 2020, that her party was not opposed to the appointment of current Minister of Interior, Hichem Mechichi as new prime minister-designate.
In her speech today at a rally in front of the house of people representatives, Moussi specified that the PDL will support Mechichi ‘s government, reemphasising her attachment to exclude Ennahdha from the government composition.
The president of the PDL has consequently assured that her party will not participate in the consultations around the formation of the next government if the Islamist party is part of it.
She stressed that the PDL supports the establishment of a government made up of modernist and progressive national forces
