Speaking on private radio today, coronavirus scientific committee member Amen Allah Messadi stated that no case of the new variant, Omicron” has been identified in Tunisia.
He added that early scientific data indicated that this new variant is even more infectious than the Delta variant. Messaadi emphasised in this sense the necessity to be vaccinated, given that vaccination remains the most effective way to curb severe cases.
