As part of efforts to strengthen cooperation and partnership programs between Tunisia and the United Nations system, Mohamed Ali Nafti, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, chaired a high-level working session on January 22, 2026, bringing together the Resident Coordinator and representatives of UN agencies, funds and programs accredited in Tunisia.
During the meeting, the minister announced that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will, in close coordination with the United Nations system and relevant national institutions, lead the preparation of the new Tunisia–UN Cooperation Framework for the 2027–2031 period. This framework will be aligned with Tunisia’s 2026–2030 Economic and Social Development Plan and the country’s national priorities.
