Tunisia-ANSI warns of new wave of phishing on Facebook

The National Agency for Computer Security (ANSI) has warned in a press release of a new wave of phishing circulating on Facebook by usurping many Tunisian brands and private and public.
According to the same source, these pages, created by hackers, require users to register by deceiving them into believing they can win prizes. In reality, these registration operations are performed through malicious websites with the graphics of the spoofed companies, or even Facebook, whose purpose is to “hack” the Facebook access settings of the victims.

ANSI has consequently put forward the following recommendations:

– Secure the authenticity of professional Facebook pages by investigating the “blue verification badge” next to the title.

– Contact companies to probe about the reliability of published games before participating.

– Install “Web Of Trust (WOT)” “Netcraft” and “Adblock plus” extensions in your web browser to verify the reliability of visited websites and block questionable advertisements.
