The Parliamentary Finance and Budget Committee will examine, at its upcoming meetings, a bill submitted to it in early July at the initiative of the Presidency of the Republic. This bill approves a loan to help finance the health services modernization program in the Sidi Bouzid governorate.
This bill is an annex to an agreement concluded in February 2019 between Tunisia and the French Development Agency. The loan is estimated at €76 million.
The health services modernization program in Sidi Bouzid aims to support the modernization of the regional hospital, rehabilitate health facilities, and strengthen their governance. This objective will be achieved by expanding the regional hospital, increasing its capacity, and converting the local hospitals of Meknassi and Regueb into Category B regional hospitals.
