The spokesperson for the courts of Monastir and Mahdia declared this Saturday that the investigating judge at the court of first instance of Mahdia has issued an arrest warrant and a search notice, against the mayor of the city of Souassi, who is on the run for sexaul assault and blackmail of a city councillor.
This decision comes after a complaint lodged by the victim with the brigade for violence against women. The same source added that the same mayor was the subject of two more judgments of one year in jail each for a case of non-compliance with the obligation of full-time work at the town hall since he emphasised on continuing to practice as a judicial officer and a case of incitement to false testimony.
