The investigating judge at the Court of First Instance of Tunis today issued an arrest warrant against Mohamed Lotfi Mraihi and the general secretary of the party in which he is active, for the violation of training alliances for money laundering, the flight of funds abroad and transactions between a resident and a non-resident.
The arrest warrant comes amid proof that “Mohammed Lotfi Mraihi” intentionally opened bank accounts abroad in breach of legal procedures and smuggled out part of his money by converting it into foreign currencies and depositing it in bank accounts abroad after the mediation of the general secretary of the party in which they were active, through one of acquaintances who was included in the research. Searches and searches are still underway to identify all parties implicated, according to the official spokesperson for the Tunisian Court of First Instance, Mohamed Zitounah.
