The floating units under the National Guard succeeded to find two boats on the coasts of Nabeul and Sousse with 27 people on board, trying to cross the Tunisian borders illegally.
Among them, the principal suspect in the Bardo attack, as well as 4 people subject to wanted notices, Karim Belhouch, spokesperson for the base union of the maritime guard in Sousse told Tunisie Numérique.
The 27 individuals were detained and the public prosecutor authorized the opening of an inquiry, according to the same source.
