Following news that circulated through social networks and news sites, in association with a supposed poisoning try which targeted President Kaïs Saïed, a reliable source from the presidency told Tunisia Numeric that the “incident” took place yesterday, Tuesday, January 26, when a mail arrived at the presidency, and when opening a package, the agent responsible for the mail was signalled by an unusual odour that arose from it. He instantly gave the alert.
All mail was seized and controlled to chemical analysis to discover the nature of the material it contained. The agent was hospitalized and subjected to close examination and extensive testing. The presidency assured that he is doing well.
