Tunisia: [Audio ] Abir Moussi: We were assaulted by Seif Eddine Makhlouf and all communication was cut off

Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, Free Destourian Party leader Abir Moussi announced that they will continue their Sit-In and move toward escalation given that what happening in the parliament only confirms the systematic and deliberate violation of the law, the insulting of MPs as well as attacking the sanctity of the parliament, adding that journalists have been prevented from Covering the sit-in and everyone who desires to communicate with them.

Moussi affirmed that they were not permitted to eat and drink except after posting videos through their official page on social media and communicating with the public opinion, in return she affirmed that  Al Karama Coalition Secretary-General Seif Eddine Makhlouf and several deputies of the coalition as well as strangers entered outside administrative time with permission from Ghannouchi Chief of staff Habib Kheder. The MP said she they were assaulted by them and have documented everything.

Our speaker stressed that these people showered her with a hail of insults and confirmed that Imad Deghaig accessed parliament outside administrative hours to photograph videos inside the parliament that included inappropriate words.

Regarding the probability of escalation in the protest, Moussi confirmed that the parliamentary bloc will meet with the Political Bureau to take resolutions against what she called as systematic torture imposed on them. She noted that the MPs are entering their third days of the Sit-in in complete darkness.adding that the internet and air conditioner has been cut off in what she considered as a great danger and attempts to violate the sanctity of the council and prevention of their militant movements.

She further denounced the Minister of Justice for not answering to the communications of their lawyer Muhammad Karifa, and for the Public Prosecution for not taking urgent measures to hold the aggressors accountable and allowing them to assault them.
