Remarking on the lifting of the house arrest against several personalities, lawyer and former administrative judge Ahmed Souab told Tunisie Numérique that it is better to return on the right path than to persist in the wrong one, and “it is possible, to be the start of the awakening of the President of the Republic ”.
Souab further called on Kais Saied to check his sources, considering that the house arrest decision is a medieval punishment which “violates human rights, and is based on a fascist order”.
Qualifying the decision of house arrest against several personalities as void. He further called on all magistrates and attorneys to assume their responsibility in the defence of freedoms and rights.
