The National Unit for Investigation into Terrorist Crimes has followed and investigated a suspect after he recently was released from prison after being incarcerated there in a terrorism-related case, National Guard spokesman Houssemeddine Jebabli said in a statement to Tunisie Numérique
The individual in question sought to influence other terrorist elements, including those who have manifested symptoms of the coronavirus to infect security agents, he asserted.
Colonel Jebali said pointed out that the that an individual infected with COVID-19 had received commands from the terrorist to infect security agents in the region.
The main accused was placed in police custody and that second accused was kept in mandatory medical isolation.
