Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, director of the Regional Union of Agriculture and Fisheries (URAP) in Siliana, Marouene Dhaouadi announced today that the harvest season began on May 25, 2021, in Siliana.
Marouane Dhaouadi pointed out that 29 cereal collection centres out of 31 in the region have been authorised to receive the quantities of cereals accumulated.
On the other hand, the regional equipment management was simply able to collect between 30 and 40% of the areas to be harvested in the region.
A working session held at the headquarters of the governorate was largely dedicated to sensitizing farmers on the necessity to protect their crops against the risk of fire, reported our speaker.
