Water outages in Gafsa is mainly due to high consumer demand in exchange for a decline in the tanks reserve as a result of arbitrary linkage and distribution networks, local National Water Distribution Utility” SONEDE” director Mohamed Ben Assi affirmed.
The same source added that the company has programmed a Water Desalination project worth nearly 60 Million TND, however, the project was disrupted by residents and disposal committees. The project would have benefited the region greatly, he added.
