Tunisia-[ Audio]: What does the constitution state in case President Kais Saied fails to announce a new PM?

President Kais Saied is set to declare the next prime minister-designate in the upcoming few hours as he is bound with a constitutional deadline after Former PM Habib Jemli  Failure to gain the vote of confidence.

In a declaration to Tunisie Numérique, constitutional law expert Amin Mahfouz said that the head of state has ten days to task a new PM to form a cabinet, indicating that public authority is ought to uphold to the Constitutional deadlines. Our speaker said that the parliament didn’t respect in the first place Constitutional deadlines neither did it establish the Constitutional Court.
Kais Saied is unlikely to fall into the trap of not respecting the constitutional deadline, said Mahfouz. He asserted that the presidency issued a statement announcing that the designated PM will be announced in time.

However, if the head of the state fails to abide by the deadline then he should be questioned by the Court of Constitutionality.
In terms of the vacancy of the constitutional court, President Saied will not be held accountable for not announcing the PM-designate, added Mahfouz.
