Reflecting on the decision relating to the issuance of an international arrest warrant against Mocef Marzouki, political analyst Salaheddine Jourchi estimated that this decision would be harmful to the image of Tunisia and president Kais Saied.
He stressed that despite the differences of opinion, Moncef Marzouki continues to be “an emblematic figure of human rights and a former President of the Republic”.
Obviously, this does not excuse the abuses perpetrated by the latter, but in this specific case it is a trial of opinion, he said, calling on the Head of State to revoke the complaint filed by the Tunisian state against Moncef Marzouki to preserve the image of Tunisia.
