Two new coins of 1 dinar and two hundred millimes will be put into circulation by the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT), as of today, Wednesday, August 26, 2020.
“The one dinar coin has the same characteristics (diameter, edge, design and texts) as those of the coin of the same denomination currently in circulation, except for the alloy, the weight which is 9.5 grams and the vintage which is 2020-1441 ”, specified the BCT, Wednesday, in a press release.
Also, the two hundred millimetres coin, “presents the same characteristics (alloy, weight, diameter, edge, design and texts) as those of the coin of the same denomination currently in circulation, except for the year which is 2020- 1441 ”, added the BCT.
These new “one dinar” and two hundred millimes coins will circulate concurrently with the coins currently in circulation.
