Economy specialist Aram Belhaj, revealed yesterday Thursday to the press that the citizen is as much a victim of inflation and rising prices as he is, in part, at the origin.
He clarified that the citizen reacts to the rise in prices in an abnormal way since he continues to purchase overpriced products, instead of boycotting them, which additionally encourages the rise in prices.
He added that the State must make a significant effort to restrict inflation, but the citizen has a role to play in this area. Belhaj said that the State will likewise have to secure better price control, and above all, stop the haemorrhage of currencies by controlling and stopping anarchic imports.
