The Workers’ Union of the Menzel Bourguiba steel plant affiliated to the Bizerte regional labour union has decided to withdraw the general strike planned at the plant on February 10, following the holding of the Regional Committee meeting of reconciliation today Friday, at the seat of the governorate of Bizerte.
The management of the company embarked, during the meeting, to apply the statute to all workers and all its articles and annexes on an equal footing, and to consent to implicate the social party in the related commissions to the social component in accordance with the statute of the aforementioned company.
It also Correspondingly expresses its obligation to give importance to social cases and provide them with assistance. Adding that it will submit to this effect, a note to the Board of Directors in order to give them the authorization to receive an exceptional loan and to set the conditions for its granting.
