A 16-year-old boy died today, Sunday, December 22, 2024, at the Ben Arous Burns Hospital, from burns he sustained after pouring gasoline on his body last Wednesday before setting it on fire.
The deceased is from Bouhajla, originally from the Kairouan governorate, and the reasons why he set himself on fire are still unknown. The incident left a feeling of discontent and unease among his family and the inhabitants of the region.
