Out of 1200 COVID-19 tests carried out, including 46 in the framework of the follow-up of active cases, 68 came out positive, the Health Ministry said in a statement on Friday . They include 56 new cases of which 49 are local infections,7 are a new imported case and 12 previously confirmed cases who were still infected with this virus”.
The overall confirmed cases have consequently reached 1903 from a total of 110023 tests carried out since the outbreak of the pandemic last March.
The overall assessment reveals 1320 recoveries, 53 deaths and 530 active cases, including 19 hospitalised.
The Health Ministry stated that all active cases have been kept in specialised quarantine centres.
