Tunisia set a new record for the daily number of registered coronavirus cases in the country as the data published on Wednesday recorded 2820 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, pushing the tally to 149881.
Meanwhile, the number of deaths recorded increased by 70 to 5004 while recoveries stand at 110,324 after reporting 1275 recoveries.
1626 COVID-19 patients have been hospitalised of whom 355 are in ICU and 113 under ventilators in public and private health facilities.
