President Kais Saied has tasked Elyes Fakhfakh with forming the new government.
The nominated prime minister has one month to form his cabinet and presented to the parliament in order to gain the vote of confidence. If this attempt would not be successful as well, new elections will take place.
Elyes Fakhfakh was born in Tunis in 1972. He graduated from the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon. He served as minister of Tourism under Hamadi Jebali Cabinet.
