Five more imported cases of infection with COVID-19 were recorded on July 10, taking the national tally of infection to 1245, the Health Ministry announced on Saturday.
The ministry said in a statement, “Following a total of 1175 lab tests including 21 to monitor previous cases,7 cases tested positive, of which 5 are new imported infections and 2 previously confirmed cases who were still infected with this virus”.
As such, the number of confirmed cases rose to 1245 out of 77593 screening tests performed since the first cases were identified last March.
Additionally,119 patients are still virus-carriers and kept in observation while recoveries rose to 1076. The death toll stands at 50 since the beginning of the outbreak.
