The Ministry of Health declared on Saturday evening five new imported cases of COVID-19 case on July 3, bringing the total number of the infected in the country to 1186.
The ministry said in a statement, “Following a total of 491 lab tests,9 cases tested positive, of which 5 are new Imported infections and 4 previously confirmed cases who were still infected with this virus”.As such, the number of confirmed cases rose to 1186 out of 71689 screening tests performed since the first cases were identified last March.
Additionally,90 patients are still virus-carriers and kept in observation while recoveries rose to 1046 . The death toll stands at 50 since the beginning of the outbreak.
