The Tunisian Solidarity Bank (BTS Bank) announced today that, following the heavy rainfall recorded recently in several governorates, and as part of its support for affected small-scale farmers—particularly in the vegetable farming sector—it has launched a dedicated program with a total budget of 12 million dinars. The initiative aims to provide loans to farmers impacted by the adverse weather conditions, helping them overcome these difficulties while also making use of the rainfall to improve production levels.
The loans will be granted without collateral or personal contributions, with a ceiling set at 10,000 dinars per beneficiary. The maximum repayment period is three years, including a grace period that will vary depending on the nature of the agricultural activity.
The program covers the governorates of Nabeul, Monastir, Bizerte, Ariana, Manouba, and Ben Arous. It will be implemented in coordination and cooperation with the technical services of the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources, and Fisheries.
Implementation will begin with the submission of applications and on-site assessments starting Monday, January 26, 2026, and will continue until the end of March 2026 at the Tunisian Solidarity Bank branches located in the concerned governorates.
