A working session was held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Tunisia’s residence in Ottawa, bringing together Tunisian academic professionals working at leading Canadian higher education institutions.
Participants included representatives from University of Ottawa, Carleton University, Université du Québec en Outaouais, and Algonquin College. The embassy’s Economic and Cultural Counselor and Ahmed Ben Cheikh Arbi, Director of the Tunisian University Mission in North America, also attended the meeting.
The meeting, chaired by Tunisia’s Ambassador to Canada explored the initiative to establish clubs for Tunisian university professors in Canada in order to strengthen networking and scientific coordination.
