The Central Bank of Tunisia has announced the release of a new 20-dinar banknote (2017 series), which has legal tender status and full discharge power, effective from February 16, 2026.
In a circular addressed to banks and the National Post Office, and published on its official website, the Central Bank stated that the new note maintains the same design, technical features, and security elements as the currently circulating banknote of the same denomination and series, with limited updates.
The main changes include the revision of the issue date, now set at July 25, 2025 instead of July 25, 2017, printed in a larger font size.
