Prime minister Youssef Chahed met social Affair minister Mohamed Trabelsi and Transport minister Hichem Ben Ahmed, in order to discuss procedures that would secure the return of Tunisians living abroad.
The meeting outcome resulted in the following decisions :
- 500 free tickets for families with limited income on Tunisair. The tickets distribution will be coordinated with the ministries of social affairs and transport.
- 300 free tickets for CTN “The Compagnie Tunisienne de Navigation ” with one free place to be used for cars.
- An Airbus A330 aircraft will be rented for an additional 35 trips. The aircraft will carry up to 10 thousand passengers with a capacity of 20 thousand seats.
- With a 40% reduction, tickets for additional trips will have a unified price of 380 euro. Trips will depart from France, Germany, and Italy to Tunis-Carthage and Djerba Zarzis airports.
- Ticket sales for additional trips will begin on June 20th, 2019 at all Tunisair travel agencies. and accredited affiliates.
