A patrol belonging to the traffic units of the National Guard district in Tunis was able to thwart a smuggling operation and confiscate a truck whose driver voluntarily hid several goods subject to the rule of proof of origin inside plastic bags prepared to collect used plastic bottles to evade police surveillance. The total value of the seized items was estimated at approximately 145 thousand dinars.
The required legal measures have been taken concerning the owner of the vehicle, according to the General Directorate of the National Guard.
