Prime minister Hichem Mechichi received a high-level delegation lead by Spain’s interior minister Mr Fernando Grande-Marlaska at Kasbah governmental palace.
During the meeting, Mr Mechichi affirmed that this meeting comes within the framework of strengthening bilateral relationships between Tunisia and Spain, and represented an occasion for discussions in several areas, including combating terrorism, traffic safety and civil protection.
The Prime Minister also emphasized the need for more coordination between the two countries, increasing economic cooperation, and the need to benefit from the experience of the two countries in the field of confronting the Covid-19 pandemic.
For his part, the Spanish Interior Minister revealed his country’s desire to profit from the Tunisian experience in resisting extremism, calling for more coordination between the two countries in the field of irregular migration.
Mr Marlaska also informed Mr Mechcihi Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez greetings and his aspiration to visit Tunisia
