President Kais Saied has called on the scientific committee to fight the coronavirus to examine the probability of imposing general Lockdown in regions with a high spread of the virus.
In a meeting with Minister of Health Faouzi Mahdi and members of the scientific committee, the head of the state declared that the measures taken to limit the spread of the virus have not accomplished their goal. In this sense, he denounced the relaxation observed among citizens, condemning the non-compliance with the curfew and the ban on gatherings.
The President of the Republic called on the parties involved to assume their responsibility by inflicting the implementation of the measures taken by the scientific committee such as wearing a mask, physical distancing and respect for mask.
