Mr. Mohamed Ali Nafti, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, received today, Monday 08 December 2025, Mr. Orlando Requeijo Gual, who presented a Copy of his Credentials accrediting him as the new Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the Republic of Tunisia.
During the meeting, the Minister praised the level of relations between Tunisia and Cuba, reaffirming the Ministry’s readiness to provide all necessary support to the Ambassador to ensure the successful fulfilment of his mission.
He emphasized Tunisia’s determination to further strengthen and broaden the fields of bilateral cooperation, particularly in the sectors of health, pharmaceutical industry, higher education, sports, agriculture, chemical fertilizers, and especially in the promotion of Tunisian olive oil.
For his part, the Cuban Ambassador expressed his pride in assuming his duties in Tunisia, commending the depth of relations between the two countries, and the appreciation of his country for Tunisia’s continuous support to Cuba at the multilateral level.
He reiterated his country’s commitment to further strengthening the bonds of friendship and expanding the existing cooperation with Tunisia through increased high-level visits and intensified joint efforts to enhance and diversify bilateral cooperation across all sectors.
