COVID-19 updates in Tunisia:

The infection tally is on the rise for the second day on the row, on Wednesday Health authorities registered 1847 new cases and 24 deaths, bringing the death and infection tally to 8812 and 254,018 respectively.

In the same context, health Minister Fauzi Mehdi warned against the third wave of COVID-19, calling on citizens to adhere to health protocols.

Vaccination system gap:

Faouzi Mahdi, Minister of Health, confirmed this Wednesday, March 31, 2021, that there is no file of corruption in the vaccination system, nevertheless he admitted shortcomings including the non-verification of the identity of citizens in vaccination centres.

In the same vein, The  Health Ministry has launched an inquiry following a post by an MP into the non-prioritization of COVID-19 vaccination.

Ennahdha files a complaint against Al Anwar newspaper

Ennahdha declared that it had lodged a complaint against “Al Anwar”  newspaper and against a journalist who penned an article on the fortune of Rached Ghannouchi.

On his part, the newspaper editor Najmeddine Akkari told TAP that he has evidence on the information that has been disclosed.

President Kais Saied received former house speaker and interim president Mohamed Ennaceur at Carthage presidential palace.Mr Ennaceur presented the President of the Republic with a copy of his recently published book “Deux Républiques, une Tunisie”

German donates 25 million euros to support small businesses

A German donation of 25 million dinars will be given to Tunisia to back small businesses and support them counter many crises, particularly the health crisis.

Qalb Tounes will not participate in the national dialogue

Qalb Tounes MP Iyadh Elloumi said that his party will not take part in the national dialogue.
