The General Directorate of Tunisian Customs revealed the death of Staff Sergeant Majdi Cherif assigned to El Fahs Customs Guard Brigade, this Friday, July 29, 2022, during an attempt to intercept a contraband truck. , according to the first elements of the inquiry.
In this same context, Haythem Zanned, spokesman for the General Directorate of Customs confirmed to Mosaïque FM, that the victim was hit by the contraband vehicle. The master sergeant is in his forties and the father of three children.
Zanned added that the accused surrendered to National Guard units in Kairouan.
