Enfidha mayor said that the late 21-year-old Mariem had fallen in a “numbered road” under the purview of the Ministry of Equipment.
He said that according to preliminary data, the victim did not fall into a sewer left open, she lost her balance due to a puddle and slipped into a ductile iron pipe.
The mayor said that several correspondences during the previous period had been directed to the Equipment Department, calling on them to proceed with road repairs, adding that the municipality is not responsible for this unfortunate accident.
