Tunisia – Diaspora Transfers and Tourism: More Than 12 Billion Dinars in Revenue as of September 10, 2026

Transfers from Tunisians residing abroad (TREs) and tourism revenues continued to rise in 2026, helping support Tunisia’s external balances. Combined, the two sources of foreign-currency income generated approximately 12.22 billion dinars as of September 10, 2026.

According to the monetary and financial indicators published by the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT) on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, transfers from TREs reached 6.41 billion dinars as of September 10, 2026, compared with 6.08 billion dinars over the same period in 2025, representing an increase of 5.4%.

Tourism revenues also recorded a positive trend. They stood at 5.81 billion dinars as of September 10, 2026, compared with 5.54 billion dinars a year earlier, marking an increase of 4.9%.

The continued growth in tourism revenues and diaspora transfers is helping ease pressures on the current account while supporting the country’s foreign-currency resources.
