Tunisia – Diaspora Transfers: Over One Billion Dinars Since the Start of the Year

    Remittances from Tunisians living abroad have maintained their positive momentum since the start of the year. According to financial indicators published by the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT), diaspora transfers reached 1,045 million dinars as of February 10, compared with 979.4 million dinars recorded on the same date last year, marking a year-on-year increase of 6.7%.

    As for tourism revenues, they amounted to 696.5 million dinars as of February 10, 2025, compared with 667 million dinars over the same period, representing a 4.4% rise.

    Net foreign currency reserves stood at 25,650.2 million dinars, up from 23,468.2 million dinars. In terms of import cover, net foreign currency reserves accounted for 109 days of imports, compared with 103 days of imports as of February 10, 2025.
