The Embassy of the Republic of Tunisia in Beirut confirmed that all its staff continues to monitor the situation of all Tunisians stranded in Lebanon and keep them informed.
In a statement, the embassy voiced its joy at the safe arrival of 325 Tunisian men and women, along with their families, back to the country on two consecutive flights yesterday evening and today, operated by the Tunisian airline.
It stressed that this operation, which took place in record time and under exceptional circumstances, was successful thanks to the notable efforts of all those involved in Tunisia and Lebanon, and to the determination of the Tunisian authorities at the highest level to carry it out. In this context, the embassy hailed the significant efforts of the Tunisian airline and the immediate and unconditional readiness of its crew at Beirut International Airport on Thursday, October 3, despite the dangerous security conditions prevailing in Lebanon and the attacks targeting its land and airspace.
The embassy reaffirmed the firm stance of the Tunisian leadership and people, in solidarity with the Lebanese Republic, standing by its side and supporting it against all threats to its security and stability.
