Ennahda revealed today, Tuesday, in a statement, that Mohamed Alkali, a member of the executive office, Mohamed Ali Boukhatim, regional secretary general in Ben Arous, and other members were apprehended by security forces yesterday, Monday, September 9.
Today, Tuesday, September 10, 2024, the movement noted that “these arrests have further strained the general political climate, continued the escalation campaigns against opposition political forces, and maintained the policy of stifling free voices in anticipation of the upcoming presidential elections, planned for October 6, 2024,” according to the statement.
The movement called on the authorities to release all detainees.
