Tunisia-Ennahdha persists : No to the dissolution of parliament

Ennahdha declared its rejection of the decision to dissolve the House of People’s Representatives, considering that it is a “persistence in the dismantling of the State and its institutions and a new breach of the Constitution which evidently stipulates in its article 80 that Parliament remains open”. Ennahdha believed that the plenary session held on Wednesday is legal and legitimate, reaffirming its resolve to vote on the decision to put an ending to the exceptional measures. “Ending the state of exception does not form a conflict of legitimacy but a return to an institution elected by the people,” said the movement.
