A well-informed source told Tunisie Numérique that the head of the state Kais Saied is aiming to create a new legal body to resolve cases of criminal reconciliation. According to the same source, Tunisia will witness the creation of the judicial pole of criminal reconciliation at the Court of Appeal.
The new body will have several tasks including:
– The examination of all corruption cases, even those which have been decided by administrative or legal authorities, after having confirmed the list of persons concerned
– Prosecute those implicated in corruption cases and study criminal reconciliation files
– The announcement of the judgment
– Follow-up and control of the application of the decisions taken
